TRS Battle of the Bands 11/29 @ The Muse In Nashville = SRS BZNESS!

Alright, here's the deal. If you're even a little interested in helping myself, Mike and/or Abby out in our endeavors to make a living in music and you're going to be in/around Nashville at the end of November, this show is the one absolute must.

We're doing this as a showcase / battle of the bands, with a handful of other bands around the area. And it's for a booking agency that books nation-wide. If we bring a lot of supporters out for The Redding Shift, we get a good chance to work with these guys coast to coast.

But we can't do it without your support.

The show is Sunday November 29th, that's the end of this month. It's the Sunday after Thanksgiving, so you're not going to be doing anything that Sunday evening anyway. Come out and support The Redding Shift, and see some awesome live music.

Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door - but you really really really (did I mention really?) want to get them from us in advance. Because they're special tickets that say The Redding Shift on them. And that's just extra niftycool.

The venue is
The Muse in Nashville, just off of I-40 by 4th Ave, so it's easy to get to. So take this chance to finally get around to coming out to a TRS show like you've been meaning to. This one will earn you extra credit.  There will be a lot of great acts performing that day, so it'll be well worth the $8. (Just be sure to make the most noise when TRS performs).

Contact any of we three band mates or
email to find out how to get a ticket in advance. If you're around Nashville, it may even be hand delivered. We're that serious about getting people out to this show. To top it off, we just finished some studio work, and we'll probably toss in a 3 track promo CD with the purchase of a ticket, so you're also getting some totally crunk-awesome TRS yumminess to take home with you, in addition to the given that is the TRS kickass live performance.

Get to it!

We want to talk about YOU!

In an effort to think outside our cages, we at The Redding Shift want to try something a little different.

Instead of harassing everyone we know to talk about us and promote us. We're going to talk about you. Some of it may even be good!

Tell us something interesting about yourself that you want everyone to know. Have you hand crafted something nifty lately? Did you write a song or a poem that you just know everyone and their dog should be exposed to? Are you in the second most awesome band in the world (obviously the #1 spot is reserved for TRS)? Getting married and want the world to hear about it?

Send us a line about why you should be talked about. Contact us through our myspace page or our facebook page. Be sure to preface the message with something along the lines of 'BLOG ABOUT ME!' - and we'll do just that.

Really, no strings attached here. Not asking you to do anything for us. We just want to tell everyone something interesting about part of our circle of friends.

So get to it!

Battle of the Bands - Nov 29th

Alright. We're playing a show in Nashville on Nov. 29th. It's a battle of the bands, being hosted by a booking / talent development agency. The winners get many dates booked by the agency and some studio time + some general artist development services.

Now these things often are not won by the best bands, but by the one that's all high school kids, who have a ton of high school kid friends to bring to the show and be loud. Then they go on to not be able to really go on tour, because of curfews and mom won't let them borrow the mini-van to tote gear.

So instead, we're going to mix it up and win it ourselves. But we'll need all of you rowdy lot to be loud and supportive on, yes, a Sunday evening at one of Nashville grittiest rock venues.

Think of it this way, come out, be loud, help us get on the road - then you win, because we're on the road and many miles away from your homes, families and sheep. It's mutually beneficial.
