Just got back from the studio (and boy are my ears tired). We now have five 5 FIVE shiny newly recorded / mixed / mastered songs for your listening pleasure. Stream them, share them with friends and stay tuned - we'll be doing some promo download giveaways in the near future. ~SB
Songs currently available from The Redding Shift's Facebook My Band page so hop on over, friend (if you already haven't) and listen to the new recordings already!
Were you there? If not, you at least got to see it streaming. Right? Riiiiight? I hope so! But, if you missed it --for a perfectly legitimate reason I'm sure-- well, you can watch some of it right here!! Unfortunately due to technical, hrm, "oddities" these do not do them justice as to how they really sound live. Which is awesome, of course. And, sadly, the first 3 songs the played (Kingdom, Hypnotize, Ship of Fools) as far as I can find were not recorded. Boo! One of my booty-shaking favorites, Ship of Fools, isn't here but I'll keep looking and update if I stumble across it. Please excuse the ill-timed ads. There's nothing I can do about that.
Rain/Surround You, Wicked Man, Burnin', Stand Up (they end at 15:13, that's another local band Blackwater James there at the end if you're interested!):
TRS is playing the Rock Over Broadway series this Saturday night in downtown Nashville. ( See:http://www.facebook.com/rock.over.broadway ) . Four bands and several hours of rock awesomeness will ensue.
We've got a lot of new songs we've been working on and we'll be playing a large portion of that new material at this show. The things we've been in the studio diligently hammering away at during the recording process are coming to the stage finally.
We're really excited about this show, and we'll be looking for a good turnout from everyone in the area because 1) It's a Saturday night so you're not working the next morning anyway. B) It's only $10, which is the price of a cocktail + tip at most bars anyway. Live music is worth more than one cocktail, sheesh. III) Being at the Hard Rock's Reverb Room venue, the show is all ages (under 18 must be with an adult though), so bring the family. And most importantly -
NEW MUSIC FROM THE REDDING SHIFT!!!
Also, if you can't make it out (abducted by Xenu, etc), the show will be streamed live at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/rock-over-broadway and in addition, all the bands playing that night will be interviewed that afternoon and the interviews will be aired on this stream as well.
Nashville-based rock band The Redding Shift has yet to release a follow-up to 2009’s Where Did All The Virgins Go, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t still be on local music buffs’ radar. The four-piece ensemble fuses together elements of rock, blues, soul, metal and country to make their own brand of take no prisoners, full-throttle, amped-up rock and roll, which manages to carve out its own musical niche somewhere between The Black Keys and Soundgarden...
The Redding Shift's got a new single available: "Take This Life and Run". They're going to be pushing this pretty hard and would love if all of you would help them! If you like the song please share it with everyone you know and encourage everyone to download the snot out of it: it's free! Thanks so much!
Shiny new songs and album in the works needed a shiny new look to the blog, don't you think?
Enjoy the tunes to the right. Check out the new band photos by Chuck Arlund under the Photos link up top. And, get to know The Redding Shift a little under Band Bio while you're up there.
TRS promises to not stand around naked outside your homes if you copy the bits below and tweet / retweet them until all of Nashville, most of Middle TN, and parts of every state in the surrounding area know about the November 29th show and are coming to it.
